The 3rd Annual ‘Saints Go Marching In’ Dinner Dance co-organized by the 2001 batches of St. Joseph’s College, St. Peter’s College, Holy Family Convent and St. Bridget’s Convent was held with much pomp and pageantry this year, on the 16th of November at the Water’s Edge, Colombo. The 2018 event organization was led by St. Joseph’s College and St. Bridget’s Convent, in the true spirit of the age-old connectedness as brother and sister schools.
The annual dinner dance celebrating the common philosophies that the schools share, saw the participation of over 150 batch mates this time, along with their spouses and partners, and was a gathering of sorts of individuals excelling in their own fields of expertise, as inspiring leaders, skilled professionals, successful business people, accomplished academics, and responsible parents.
Several significant characteristics bind the past pupils of these prestigious institutions initiated by daring missionaries in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and ‘Saints Go Marching In’ is a culmination of the comradery and friendship they built amongst each other during their 14 year period of schooling.
The organizing committee of the 2018 dinner dance completed the task with much success and looks forward to handing over the reins to the next in line, ensuring the next year’s event would be as successful and would provide the opportunity for the 2001 batch mates to cross paths once again, over much fun and happier times!
